Carbona

App Design

For this project, I was tasked with selecting a global issue and designing an app that contributes to meaningful change. I chose to tackle climate change by developing Carbona, an app designed to promote sustainability and reduce carbon footprints.

Process:

I began by creating a concept board, where I outlined the brand identity and core idea behind Carbona. From there, I developed a user flow, mapping out the steps a user would take to navigate the app and accomplish key tasks.

Next, I designed a site map, which served as a structural blueprint of the app, detailing the organization of pages and the user’s journey. I then created wireframes, illustrating the interface layout and placement of essential elements across the app’s key screens.

Conclusion:

This project deepened my understanding of UX and UI design, teaching me how to create an intuitive, user-friendly experience while addressing a pressing global issue. It reinforced the importance of thoughtful information architecture, user flows, and wireframing in developing an app that drives real-world impact.
